The Best Co-Working Spaces in Thonglor

22 October 20265 min read

Thonglor has a reputation for rooftop bars and late dinners, but on a weekday morning it is also one of the easiest places in Bangkok to sit down and work. Remote workers, founders and long-stay guests have turned the stretch between Sukhumvit Soi 49 and Ekkamai into a loose network of co-working floors and laptop-friendly cafés, most of them within a short walk or motorbike taxi of Thong Lo BTS. These are the spaces we recommend to guests who ask where to work during their stay.

The Hive Thonglor: the community pick

The Hive is the long-standing favourite of Bangkok's freelancer and founder crowd. It sits in the Piman 49 building just off Sukhumvit, spread over several floors with a rooftop terrace that is the best place in the neighbourhood to take a call outside. The draw is the community as much as the desks: regular events, a welcoming front-desk team and a mix of designers, small agencies and startups who make it easy to meet people if you are new to the city. Day passes are typically around ฿400 to ฿500, and monthly hot desks roughly ฿4,500 to ฿6,000, with dedicated desks and private offices above that.

WeWork T-One: the polished option

If you want a space that simply works, WeWork in the T-One building is hard to beat for convenience. A skywalk links it directly to Thong Lo BTS, so you never touch the street in the rain, and its seven floors cover hot desks, private offices, phone booths and bookable meeting rooms. Expect the familiar WeWork product: reliable printers, fast wifi, good coffee and a quieter, more corporate feel than The Hive. Monthly All Access memberships start at around ฿6,000, and they work at WeWork locations worldwide, which suits people who move between cities.

Paper Plane Project: work with a view

On the 40th floor of the same T-One tower, Paper Plane Project is a café built for laptops. There is no entry fee: you pay for coffee or lunch, and the purchase comes with a wifi code. The view across the city is the best of any workspace on this list, and there are meeting rooms and phone booths if you need privacy. In the evening the lights change and it turns into a bar with DJs, so it suits a productive afternoon better than a late session. Bring noise-cancelling headphones either way.

The Commons Thonglor: the relaxed alternative

The Commons on Thonglor Soi 17 is not a co-working space, but in practice it works like one during the day. It is a multi-level community mall with independent food stalls on the ground floor, café seating with sockets above, and a mix of open-air and indoor space. Wifi is solid, lunch is a few steps away and it is open from early morning until late. It gets lively in the evenings, so it is best for a few hours of focused work before the dinner crowd arrives.

Ekkamai and the cafés in between

One stop east, Ekkamai adds more choice for people who want a desk without the Thonglor buzz. Smaller spaces such as SYNC offer quieter monthly hot desks from around ฿3,500, and there are dozens of independent cafés along both sois that welcome laptops on weekday mornings. A good rule in any café is to buy something every couple of hours, avoid the lunch rush, and ask before plugging in.

Choosing the right space

For a day or two of work, Paper Plane Project or The Commons cost no more than a coffee. For a week or longer, a day pass or short membership at The Hive gives you a proper desk, a community and a reason to leave the apartment. For calls, client meetings and a predictable setup, WeWork T-One is the safest choice. Prices and opening hours change often, so check each space's own website or social pages before you go.

Why this matters for owners

Remote workers are some of the most valuable guests a Thonglor condo can attract. They book longer stays, fill weekday nights and leave detailed reviews about the things that matter to them: a real desk, a comfortable chair and wifi that holds up on a video call. A listing that mentions the nearest co-working space and shows a proper workspace in its photos will win more of these month-long bookings. Our guide to the best neighbourhoods for Airbnb in Bangkok explains why this corner of Sukhumvit commands a premium.
