Rhythm Sukhumvit 36-38

A 36 sqm apartment on the 12th floor of Rhythm Sukhumvit 36-38, laid out so a month here feels like living in Bangkok rather than visiting it. Separate bedroom, separate kitchen, a desk by the window, a washer in the unit and a balcony over a quiet side street. Guests keep using the same phrase in reviews: it has everything you need.
Long stays are welcome here. The monthly rate is already applied on the calendar, so the price you see for a month is the price you pay, plus the utility arrangement in Other Things to Note.
WHERE YOU WORK
- Desk: A real desk by the window with natural light, not a corner of the dining table.
- 500 Mbps Wi-Fi: Fiber to the unit, stable enough for video calls all day.
- Downtime: 43" smart TV in the living room with Netflix and YouTube.
- WeWork: About 700 m away if you want a desk out of the house some days.
WHERE YOU EAT
- Full Kitchen: Its own room with a stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, rice cooker, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes and wine glasses.
- Stocked on Arrival: Cooking oil, salt, pepper, soy sauce and detergent are in the cupboard from day one, so the first shop is a small one.
- Dining Table: A proper table for meals or a second workspace.
- Groceries: A convenience store on the ground floor, 7-Eleven 270 m away, Villa Market on Sukhumvit for the weekly run, and Khlong Toei fresh market a short Grab away for produce and seafood.
WHERE YOU SLEEP
- Queen Bed: In a private bedroom behind its own door, with blackout shades.
- Sofa Bed: In the living room for a third guest or a visiting friend.
- Air Conditioning: In every room. Guests call it strong.
WHERE YOU WASH
- Washer in the Unit: Full-size machine plus a drying rack, and the balcony dries a load fast in the Bangkok heat. No dryer.
- Bathroom: One full bathroom with a walk-in rain shower, bidet and hairdryer.
- Keep It Tidy: Vacuum cleaner, iron and cleaning products are in the unit, so a month here does not mean living with a month of dust.
- Restocked: Shampoo, conditioner and body soap are provided.
WHERE YOU UNWIND
- Balcony: Over a quiet soi, with the Sukhumvit skyline in the distance. Morning coffee, evening air.
- Pool and Sauna, 6th Floor: The building's shape keeps the pool shaded most of the day, and it rarely gets crowded.
- Gym, 25th Floor: Guests mention the view from the machines more than the equipment.
WHO IT'S FOR
- Remote workers and relocating professionals who need a desk, fast Wi-Fi, a kitchen and a washer in the same apartment, not down the hall.
- Couples settling into Bangkok for a stretch who want a home, not a hotel room.
- Anyone who cooks. This is the one apartment in the building the reviews single out for its kitchen.
Built for up to 3. One bedroom, one bathroom, a sofa bed in the living room. Not for two couples.
THE LOCATION
- BTS Thong Lo: About a 5-minute walk, or 2 minutes on the building shuttle, which runs every 10 minutes from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- After Hours: Grab and metered taxis are easy to flag on Sukhumvit Road at any hour, and the walk is still short.
- Next Door: Rangoon Tea House and Oysters Queen are a minute away. Thong Lo cafes and bars on one side, the Emporium and EmQuartier malls one BTS stop on the other.
- Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital: International, English-speaking, a short ride away. Worth knowing when you are here for a month.
